Art Lantern is the independent voice of the visual arts in the United States;. To receive updates on new digital issues, subscribing to the digital edition (free subscription) or request a print to purchase a subscription by emailing subscribe@newartexaminer.net. Authors should email contributor@newartexaminer.net to propose new articles; original essays, reviews organized around a theme or idea, and visual works with accompanying text are especially encouraged.

Authors


Bradley Stevens. Bradley Stevens, By invitation of the U.S. State Department, is a participant in the Art in Embassies program, which places the work of renowned American artists in embassies around the world.

Stephen Westfall. Stephen Westfall is a painter and writer living in New York. He is a Professor of Visual Art at Mason Gross School of the Arts, Rutgers University. His work is represented by Alexandre Gallery.

Mark Bloch. Mark Bloch is the author of the book, Robert Delford Brown: Meat, Maps, and Militant Metaphysics. An archive of his Mail Art is part of the Downtown Collection at New York University. His artwork has been shown by the Museum of Modern Art and the Frick Museum in New York and the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. His articles and reviews have appeared in publications including “White Hot” and others.

David Goldenberg. David Goldenberg, is represented by The Studio: Glenda Cinquegrana, Milan, Italy. http://www.glendacinquegrana.com. For years, his research has been concentrated on the Post Autonomy concept – for further info go to www.postautonomy.co.uk.

Mary Fletcher. Mary Fletcher, a multimedia artist flaneur www.axisweb.org/p/maryfletcher  has an MA in contemporary visual art and writes the blog 4maryfletcher.blogspot.com. She is a humanist, feminist and socialist influenced by psychotherapy living in St Ives, Cornwall, UK. 

Nancy Nesvet. Nancy Nesvet is Editor-in-Chief at Art Lantern, an artist, and a curator. She has published arts criticism and reviews in many publications alongside her fine arts work and curation. She earned her MFA from Maine College of Art.

Daniel Benshana. Daniel Benshana is a writer living in Cornwall.  He is the European editor of the Art Lantern. 

Elizabeth Ashe. Elizabeth Ashe is a sculptor and poet who has received several grants from the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities for curating and to support her studio practice. A board member of the Washington Sculptors Group, Ashe lives in Washington, D.C., where she has an active studio practice. She is the Exhibit and Event Technician at the Katzen Center, American University.

Lanita K Brooks Colbert. Lanita K Brooks Colbert is a 4th generation Washingtonian, community activist, art dealer, art non-profit board member, art collector and writer.

Scott Reyburn is a London-based freelance journalist who writes about art and artists, arts culture and markets. A former lecturer at the National Gallery, London, he has written for The New York Times since 2014, covering the international art world’s major auctions, fairs and exhibitions.

Sam Vangdeluwe. Sam Vangdeluwe lives in Belgium and is a translator and writer at Mapping Senufo Research Project, which addresses art and place in West Africa.

Francis Oliver is a writer and reader living in England.
